Do Not Sell or Share My Info

Residents of California (under the CCPA/CPRA) and of other US states with comprehensive privacy laws can opt out of the sale or sharing of their personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. This page explains the position at Restedlook and the routes available.
What the Terms Mean Here
There is no monetary sale of personal information by Restedlook. The practice that engages this right is narrower — where ads are served, advertising and cookie identifiers may be shared with ad partners. Given how broadly the statutes define ‘sale’ and ‘share’, we assume it counts and provide the opt-out.
- The opt-out covers all visitors to restedlook.com, including readers interested in Restedlook who simply read an article and leave.
Afterwards
After you opt out, targeted advertising ceases but advertising may not. The site itself is unchanged — no content is locked, no feature is removed, and no reader is disadvantaged for having exercised the right.
How to Exercise This Right
Pick a route. Global Privacy Control in your browser is honoured automatically by this site — that alone is sufficient. Otherwise use the cookie consent banner where it appears, or email hello@restedlook.com, subject ‘Do Not Sell or Share’. An account is never required to opt out.
Full detail on state privacy rights, including access and deletion, is in our State Privacy Notice.
